Clean Energy and Security My A$$

Okay...for today I’m not going to waste my breath arguing one way or the other about whether global warming and/or climate change is taking place and/or if mankind since the industrial revolution has started a process that may or may not have a catastrophic effect on the planet. At this point you likely believe what you want to believe, whatever facts may be produced by either side to convince you.

For the sake of argument…today I’m going to say…yes, manmade global warming exists and we must do something to reverse the effects before it’s too late and we destroy the planet.
Stating that, is the Waxman-Markey Bill, more formally known as “THE AMERICAN CLEAN ENERGY AND SECURITY ACT of 2009”, the answer?

Before you even open your mouth let me answer for you. No one knows. No one knows because when the 111th Congress of the United States of America voted on and passed HR 2454 (219 Yea 211 nay) on Friday the 26th of June, not a SINGLE member of that body had read the 1200 page bill!!!! Or the 300 plus page addendum added to it at 3AM the morning of the vote. The only copy I could find online is from May 15 and it is 932 pages long.

Do the math quickly. That means there have been something like 600 pages added to it in the last two months…And congress had all of FIVE hours to review Waxman-Markey before being asked to vote.

At the very least voting “Yea” on something 1500 pages long you haven’t even read is foolish. At worst, voting “Yea” on a 1500 page document that will quiet literally change the very way the economy of our country operates without knowing where every t is crossed and every i is dotted is criminally negligent or treasonous! So… let me enlighten you on why 219 members of congress voted yes to Waxman-Markey. They are either (1) recklessly foolish or just plain too stupid and shouldn’t be trusted with the responsibilities given a parking meter reader (no offense to meter maids/men) or (2) and listen closely…they didn’t read it because the THE AMERICAN CLEAN ENERGY AND SECURITY ACT of 2009” has absolutely nothing to do with clean energy or security and absolutely EVERYTHING to do with a massive socialistic tax to redistribute wealth and an arrogant, super-egotistical big government that wants to control every single facet of the economy from what type of car you drive (and how far and how often) to what temperature you set your air conditioner in the summer and how many soda’s your CO2 breathing, earth destroying children drink!!!

That’s it. Plain and simple. Don’t let them fool you. Al Gore does not give a flying (expletive deleted) about polar bears and melting ice caps. If he did he wouldn’t jet around the world preaching his drivel, he’d web cast over the internet he invented. He wouldn’t still own a 10,000 sq foot house in Carthage TN, that uses four times the energy as the average American home and he certainly wouldn’t have recently purchased a million dollar condo on San Francisco Bay if he believed the oceans were going to rise 20 feet in the next ten years. What Al Gore cares about is the billions of dollars he’s going to make from all the “green” energy companies he’s invested in whos stock is going to skyrocket once buying and selling carbon credits becomes law. DON’T let them fool you. Barrack and Nancy and Harry don’t CARE about saving the planet. If they did Waxman-Markey wouldn’t be 1500 hundred pages of taxes based on taking money from the petroleum companies and giving it to the windmill farmers. It would be about actually DOING something, anything. This present government’s only concern is controlling EVERY…SINGLE…THING…that “We The People” read, eat, drink, drive, think or say. And the sooner you realize it, the sooner “We The People” may…just may…be able to stop the Senate from passing their version of “THE AMERICAN CLEAN ENERGY AND SECURITY ACT of 2009” and making their Fascist, Big Brother dream Freedom’s worst nightmare.
